This is the Moodle Virtual Learning Environment for Stow College Glasgow.

The Moodle Virtual Learning Environment exists to provide you with a host of different online resources and learning tools to aid you in your progression through your subjects here at Stow College. To log in to the site please use your own college username and password.

The Moodle classroom is no different from any other classroom, please feel free to join in and ask questions!

If you have any difficulties with using this site please make sure to contact your tutor.

Equality Outcomes April 2013.pdf

This consultation is seeking the views of staff, students, stakeholders, partners and the wider community.

Under the Equality Act the College has a duty both as an employer and as an educational provider to set out equality outcomes. The attached document sets out our equality outcomes, together with actions and indicators.

Many of you will have used the Learning Gateway (ILS intranet page) over the last few months. ILS have now got a page available to detail resources and provide helpsheets and other handouts on Moodle. See the new page in the Student area. Feedback is most welcome!

John Wheatley, North Glasgow and Stow College will be merging in the near future as a direct result of an announcement by Mike Russell, Education Secretary, in February of this year. It is believed that by developing a regional basis for colleges it will make the sector more efficient and responsive to the needs of students and local economies.

UCAS

For any student hoping to progress to university, January 15th is the deadline set by UCAS for the receipt of applications. Applications will be accepted by UCAS after this date, however it is at the discretion of the university how they will be considered.

For the college to guarantee that we will provide appropriate support and process applications to meet this deadline, we need to have completed applications in our possession, along with a suitable reference, well in advance of this date. Therefore, the deadline the college has set is December 15th.
